Climbing out!

I really am stumped at how fast a child can go from a newborn to this! He is learning so quickly I can barely keep up. Today I heard giggling and a pounding noise coming from his bedroom. I decided to get the camera and when I flung open the door to his nursery I saw this. (picture below:)That little stinker was pounding away on his crib and leaning over it with one leg lifted as if he was trying to get out! He looked at me with a huge grin and I about died! This was my tiny baby a few weeks ago?!?...I swear:)
We just lowered his crib about two weeks ago....looks like it will be lowered again today!
SIDENOTE: Sometime last month...I woke up and realized jaxson's toys were totally pointless! (anyone with this problem?) Now give him a coaster, cell phone, laptop or blow dryer cord, electrical outlet, FORK....now that is a TOY!!! He loves anything dangerous and is a total boy. I cannot believe I have spent so much money on toys...when little household items work so much better. On Thanksgiving we were at a friends house and he was being onery. So....I went to her cupboard and gave him a measuring cup and a hot pad....HE WAS ENTERTAINED FOR THE ENTIRE MEAL! I wish I would have known this before now....
"look mom, one hand!"

Note: This kid is only 8 months old! Maybe this behavior is completely normal at this age...but since he's my first...every new thing is a HUGE event and it's dawning on me just how quickly time flies...

Jaxson looks so cute in his crib. Isn't it so crazy how quick they grow up. Claire learned to scoot, sit up, crawl, go from laying down to sitting up, climb up a couple of steps, pull herself up to standing position and got 2 teeth in about a 3 week period, and she is not even 8 months old yet. Why can't they stay little. Oh and Calebs favorite toy of all time is.......a piece of string. Yah, who knew a piece of string off of a blanket could bring so much joy to a human being. He's so weird! ;)

They do grow fast but I think Jax is a bit advanced for his age. I dont think Nathan was standing at 8months! And yes anything that is not their toy is much more exciting...remotes, tupperware, nail polish. So fun!

Oh you are in trouble. He is ready to be a big boy! It's sad how fast they grow up! My kids never play with thier toys, I swear, it's all about the random household items-whatever makes them happy I guess!

I haven't had a "blog stop" for a while -- and gosh, has he grown! Those big brown eyes peeking over the crib are the best. Cute, cute!

that is so funny:) I completely know what you mean about the toys/verse anything that is NOT a toy....way more fun for them, and the bad news is that it doesn't really get better- and for some reason I keep buying toys:) go figure. he is darling by the way!!!

That is so funny about the toys and totally true. yesterday i took jonathan upstairs and he didn't play with any of his toys, instead he wanted to explore the computer room and he went into the bathroom and opened all the drawers and pulled out a vitamin pill bottle and started playing with that! i was like "OH MY GOD!" all frantic and sticking my finger in his mouth to see if anything was in there, even though the bottle was still closed! it's so nice to hear that you are going through the same things i am! LOL!

Jaxson is on a roll! He is such a cute boy. That's so funny about the toys. Zenock's new favorite is an old remote. He takes it everywhere... yes, we have a remote control in our diaper bag. :) Cute christmas pics too!
