Tornado's!

Here in Nebraska we have Tornado's...something I don't think I'll ever get used to and most definitely will not miss:) Tonight I had an interesting evening at work to say the least! This pictures was taken by one of my students on her cell phone! I think I was in the middle of a sentence or something. After a tornado touched down in West Omaha a few hours ago the sirens started sounding throughout the city, warning everyone to head for a "designated Shelter". Well...I was forced to crowd my students into the bathroom of Vatterott college and camp out on the floor for a good part of the evening!
As you can see we had students in scrubs sitting up on the counter and all over the bathroom floor. I wasn't that great at "being the teacher" comforting, or calming anyone...instead I was on the phone with jarom making sure he had my baby in the shelter or hiding in the bathtub! They were all laughing at me...because this is second nature for them. The sirens make me a nervous wreck! Fortunately we escaped with just a killer storm, rain, and 80 mile an hour winds:) Also-thank goodness one of my students let me sit on one of her dental textbooks...YUCK!

Okay Kristin.....when you said that you loved Omaha and that I would love it you failed to mention that they have tornados!! Are you kidding me? What am I going to do with tornados? I am going to have 3 little boys!! I can't even get them to sit on the couch for 10 seconds at the same time, how am I going to get them to stay in a shelter or the bathtub?? This is not exciting new information!! :)
