Snowie's, doorbells, bikes & football:)

Wow. Where do I start?

The past few weeks have been packed!!!

A good kind of busy though...I prefer busy as most of you know:)

---

Jaxson continues to make me laugh and convince me daily that I am the luckiest WOMAN alive.

Oh my goodness he is a talker...and full of personality.
This picture totally sums him up.
An obnoxiously Happy,
Hat-Loving,
Cubs-Obsessed,
farmer-tanned,
Little BOY!

IMG_5722

He has recently become fascinated with ringing the doorbell.

(do all children go through this stage?)

---

Who knew that something so simple could keep him entertained and giggling for a whole afternoon. We have a great routine: I sit on the porch with my feet up talking on the phone...he rings the bell over and over and over and over and then we share a popsicle.

---

Sigh....

...it's the life I tell ya...

IMG_5740

As you can tell from Jaxson's excitement in the below picture...he was about to partake of his first snowie and considering how much his parents talk them up...he knew it was going to be good! We are hooked and decided last Friday night that it was TIME.

...for Jaxson to taste our favorite concoction...

IMG_5732

3 all time best flavors:

(and they must be applied side by side and not mixed)

RED RASPBERRY

BLUE RASPBERRY

LEMON LIME

IMG_5757

Me and Jarom visit the snowie stand a few times a week during the summer...and Jaxson got his own this trip. He is getting big enough to down one himself...(it could also be that neither me or Jarom want to share ours:)

IMG_5762

---

IMG_5787

---

He doesn't leave the house without his cubbies hat on and a piece of chewing gum.

He acts so old these days. I can't help but laugh.

IMG_5745

Friday evening he showed dad his new skills. He can pedal a bike...and he circles the driveway like a pro. I guess this means he needs a real bike with training wheels. Is that normal for 2???

Now I must convince Jarom that people SHOULD most definitely receive 4th of July presents!!!
He doesn't believe me. "It's not a present holiday" Jarom says.

Whatever.

IMG_5818

Football or catch is a daily occurrence as well.

He just can't sleep unless he's practiced a bit with Dad...so I watched as he attempted to learn the proper techniques in which to throw a football.

------

I really want another little boy so so so so so so so badly.

I love them to death.

IMG_5831
Sidenotes:
My laptop is being serviced and is currently in the shop. I feel like I'm going to die, I swear. It is so pathetic...and actually kind of good that it's gone. I do miss it desparately though:)
---
We are sick of the unpredictable and ridiculous weather so we are out of here!!!
We are heading to St. Geore (our favorite quick getaway spot).
---
Shopping, Nielsen's Custard,
Seeing a Play at Tuachan Theatre, Swimming.
---
We need a break from the Rain:)
Love, ME

Painting and Popsicles

Today Rocked
***
We hopped in the car and off we went to purchase some paints
for our big day of being crafty.
---
After a quick pit-stop at the Old Grist Mill...to buy 2 LARGE sugar cookies for our afternoon snack...we were on our way to creating a wonderful afternoon...just me and Jaxson.
---
Oh..how much he needed it!
His mommy has been a LITTLE busy the last few weeks...
and I admit to some minor neglect.
-----
I must give credit where credit is due...because I saw this cute idea on a fellow bloggers blog last summer and loved it! Go ahead and check out Danny.Jess.Max on my links...they have a little boy exactly Jaxson's age and he is pretty darn cute. It was such a fun summer idea:)
---
I instantly knew Jaxson would love the idea of getting naked, messy, and being outside.
I loved the idea of letting him make something...that I could hang in his nursery:)
It was a win-win...so we got to painting.
IMG_5636
The idea was a hit.
---
From picking out the paints and the brushes...to ripping off his shirt and practicing his circles...he was completely thrilled with the idea of...PAINTING!
IMG_5610
---
IMG_5608
---
IMG_5624
---
IMG_5627
---
IMG_5644
---
He was pretty concerned that a BEE (of all things) would sneak up on him and grab his brush.
He insisted on holding it above his head until he couldn't hear a single buzz within a 5 ft. radius.
(I told you he was obsessed with Bees)
Refer to prior post!
IMG_5612
---
His masterpieces!
I actually purchased SEVERAL canvases on sale at Micheal's last Fall and plan on doing this fun activity several times over the summer.
---
I'm sure there will be "THE PERFECT WALL" in the playroom
at our new house for a collage of his work. Again...thanks Jess for the idea.
Darling.
IMG_5650
---
IMG_5660
We topped it off by sharing both a CHERRY and ROOTBEER
popsicle and cuddling on the couch.
---
I loved every minute of it.
It makes my heart ache that he is no longer my baby...
but I plan on dragging it out as long as humanly possible!
---
He currently looks exactly like the below picture...completely pooped!
It wore him right out...and I'm pretty sure he'll sleep for hours:)
(another Win-Win)
IMG_5665
---
Tonight were heading to a friends to learn how to make Fresh Razzleberry Pies from scratch...while Jarom plays Ball (his Tuesday night ritual)!
---
I love to bake...but from a box:) so.....
This will be a new adventure that's for sure!

Wish me luck...
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Bees...and more...

IMG_5080
I've always hated Bees. I am terrified of them.

Sharks and Bees: my two phobia's. Yes...I am constantly reminded that I need not fear sharks because I reside in a land-locked state with no ocean in site....

Yet the fear remains.

It is no small thing...I kid you not.

------

I watch every single show thats airs during "SHARK WEEK" on the Discovery channel like some kind of pathetic nerd. Occasionally I turn to Jarom (who is as obsessed/fascinated/and terrified as I am) and say something like "WHAT IN THE_____DID YOU JUST SEE THAT?!?!?"

I can't imagine anything worse than being eaten by a shark.

NOTHING.

----

Oh yah...back to Bees. My son has adopted my hatred for these creatures as well.

Like most two year olds...he took the idea and ran with it.

Oh my heavens...you can't pay for entertainment this hilarious.

EVERYTHING has SOMETHING to do with a BEE and how it is going to get us or where it's hiding or what sound it makes or what it's doing...
***

He carries around a fly swatter for heavens sake

(I just realized how revolting that is...just now, as I was typing it:)

He thinks every single bug or fly or insect or creature is a --- BEE ---

He will slap at the window over and over saying proudly..."don't worry mama..I got the bee!"
IMG_5099

---

You see...today he told me an entire story about a Bee.

The Bee flew at him...then landed in his hair...then went in his eye...then bit his shirt...then died.

I just nodded and smiled.
IMG_5085

----

Last night he couldn't go to bed because a BEE was in his sheets...and the other day his happy meal included an airplane toy which he insisted was a BEE...not a plane.
---
He scream bloody murder at the Bees baseball game in SLC a few weekends ago...anytime the giant Bee mascot came near us! It was FREE entertainment for several other fans that day...man did he have the crowd around us laughing!
---
Come to think of it....I sure hope he isn't traumatized or in need of insect therapy:)

You know...those classes that force you to face your fear head-on. Like dress him in a beekeeper suit and let them swarm him...proving that when surrounded by 1 million bees you will only be stung 100 times:) Then trying to convince him that those were actually great odds...and that Bees don't hate your guts just "BECAUSE".

As my Grandpa says "There not out to get you!"

W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R

they are too.

---

Like 3 summers ago when I was a big fat pregnant whale, minding my own business, floating on my blow up mattress in the pool. For no apparrent reason it flew at me...stung my foot then my leg and flew off. What in the_______!!!!

---

Yes I cried...

and yes my enormous body fell off the tube and made a splash one could only compare to a "tidal wave..."

While I tried to get my barings...and come to grips with what had just happened...some random single, young, mildly attractive man (not as cute as my Jarom...but not half bad either) rubbed dirt from the nearby flower bed on my foot, massaged my water-retaining ankle to soothe the pain, and convinced me that dirt would suck the stinger out:)

Damn Bee. It was humiliating.

Onlookers were shocked that I was crying I think.

IT FREAKING HURT.

----

Regardless of what you might think...we haven't had a bad experience with bees at our house. One in which should be blamed for this extreme reaction and fear, that is.

Sure the other day Jarom dicovered that a swarm of the nasty creatures had built a nest inside the door of my Jeep...so I jumped from the car like it was on fire...flung open the back door and jerked my child out of his seat screaming like a lunatic....but I don't think he knew exactly why or what was going on?!?!?

It couldn't be my fault. Not a chance.

---

He's never been stung...I've never told him to hate them or made him purposely scared of them?!? Maybe he's just smart, ok? And he recognizes their use-less-ness to this world.

---

He also growls at them when he sees them flying around.

It's a strange noise that comes from the back of his throat...that always makes me laugh.

---

Last week a moth got in our house.

This was not good. Not good at all.

My son went running and flailing around the family room grabbing all of his baseballs and throwing them at the light fixture (where the moth had landed) screaming:

"I WILL KILL THE BEE MAMA!!!"

"OH MY GOODNESS! OH MY GOODESS"

"DO NOT GET US BEE!"

I swear some days can get pretty entertaining...I sure wish I had the energy to remember half of his dramatic explanations during the day. This is just such a fun age:)

***

You may be thinking that I am creating unnecessary fears in my child...but I say I am protecting him from the hellish experiences that could ruin a perfectly beautiful June afternoon outdoors!

Like getting stung by a BEE:)
(the MORE I was reffering to...)
My son is getting sooooo good at baseball.
I'm being honest. It's impressive to me. He hits 8 out of 10 Every Stinkin Time.
IMG_5111
Plus...are you serious???? Look at that stance.
ohhhh...he get's so serious about his "ball game"
---
I'm still holding on to the dream that he'll go pro and make millions...then buy me a house:)
ha ha ha. I'm only partially kidding by the way!
---
I personally love watching him swing with everything he's got.
I can't wait to sign him up for T-ball in a few years.
I'm afraid he'll think the T is lame-o and wonder why someone isn't "pitching" to him....like the ball players on TV.
IMG_5112
I recognize how these picture have nothing to do with Bees or my topic of discussion for this post:) I just love sunny summer afternoons and banana popsicles....so wahlah! You have pictures of both. It stopped raining finally...hallelujah. We spent the day outside.
YYYYEEESSS....it's the weekend. I might actually see my husband.
On my birthday a few weeks ago I wished that we could go back to life as "STUDENTS".
I don't think it's going to happen, unfortunately.
Man, life was so much better...and I saw a lot more of my hubby:)
---
All you CREIGHTON friends...ENJOY every minute!
Real life is poopy.

M-i-s-e-r-a-b-l-e

IMG_5065
I found this quote:
Being MISERABLE is a good thing.
If you start the day miserable...NOBODY can screw up your day!
---
I like this quote. I shouldn't...but I do.
It, somehow, makes me feel better about being miserable today.
Although...I must point out...that this quote is far from true!
CASE IN POINT: I woke up miserable today...and several people continued to screw it up!
---
Instead of "thinking positive" or "remaining calm" I have instead chosen the more immature route today. One that consists mainly of freaking out over anything and everything and complaining to anyone who'll listen:) We're all entitled to these days every once in a while.
Today...is...mine.
IMG_5070
---
I've had a rough one. One thing after another...people pissing me off right and left...nobody doing their job competently, dealing with people that are the lamest defintion of lame you'll ever meet.
Listen to me? I am such a snot!!!
I need to stop...but whoever said pouting doesn't make you feel better...LIED.
It makes me feel a heck of a lot better.
---
I just plopped down and turned on the TV. Animal Planet is on. "I shouldn't be alive" to be more specific. A small plane crashed into the ocean and a group of 3 men are floating for days getting eaten by sharks.
---
I guess my day COULD be worse:)
Not much....but a little.

...Mantua...

IMG_4759-560
(Picture taken in Mantua)

I was in Mantua last night right before sunset and snapped this picture.

I loved these bright yellow wild flowers and this long dirt road that went on forever...

I haven't been to Mantua in years...but it was so beautiful and peaceful!

...It got me thinking...
--------

Too many thoughts to summarize here and now...but life is pretty good right now, even with all the stress and hectic schedule I make for myself:)

---

I've been so busy lately. A good kind of busy...

It seems the busier I am...the more I try and squeeze into a day:)

***

I have started another 5 projects it seems! I'm also reading a great book (with a few naughty parts that are completley disturbing and have nothing to do with anything:) I hate that.

Let's see: I've been sewing pillows....LOTS OF PHOTOGRAPHY...and more and more and more Modbe. GOTTA LOVE swimsuit season...this years line is wonderful:) Add house stuff, Young Women's and JAXSON and I am definitely tired each night!
---
We moved the little stinker into his OWN BIG BOY BED last night.
He's growing up so quickly.
(pictures and hilarous video clip coming)

---

Today was a good day...

After church we:

1- took a nap

2- ate a chocolate covered banana creamie

3- and took a four-wheeler ride.

Just the three of us.

It was beautiful.

We petted the horses and saw the peacocks HUGE feathers.

Jaxson LOVES the peacocks!!!

(Jarom is a tad bit scared of them:)

----

Jaxson also went to Nursery today and STAYED there:)

I beamed with Pride.

---

We spent the evening making homeade oreo cookies

with a generous helping of cream cheese frosting, of course...

and rented a Redbox (2) actually:)

IMG_5037

I haven't had time to blog lately...

but that means life is FULL...just how it should be:)
---
I'll do better this week hopefully...
Have a WONDERFUL MONDAY!

Pools and Pony's...

As promised...we are having a great time at Aunt Kay-Kay's.

---

WE have been lazy.

I have eaten a whole package of cookies.
(the GV fudge covered graham ones.) Oh my goodness.
I can't believe I didn't know about these little babies!

---

For some reason...leaving home instantly means VACATION in my mind...and vacationing always means good food. Junk food...and little to no exercise:)

---

It was cloudy today and so we bagged the idea to swim outside and opted for the indoor pool with water temperatures at a much more comfortable 88 degrees. Now, I can handle that!!!

My child is a nutcase.

---

I am terrified for his life...and I MUST watch him carefully this summer or mark my words...

HE WILL DROWN!

IMG_4394

Thanksgiving pointe was wonderful. We sweated to death...while Jaxson ran blissfully from animal to animal. He warmed up to the goats and enjoyed feeding them.

---

His favorite...were the pony rides!

Oh my goodness....as Jaxson exclaims 100 times a day.
--- Fake smile ---

IMG_4387

I just love love love these pictures.

You can easily tell how excited he is.

IMG_4365

As the pony's would go round and round...he'd turn his head and give us a good "CHEESE" before he went on his way. He also instructed me to "stand back" and "do not hold me".

My baby is growing up.

IMG_4345

Everytime I would ask what a pony says he would respond proudly:

"MOOOOO"

oh boy. He's such a turd sometimes.

IMG_4351

I know this picture is totally blurry....but check that out.

(the one below)

He blows kisses a lot these days. He looked like a scary little beauty queen waving and blowing kisses with pride. I couldn't help but laugh. At least he wasn't the dorky girl in a sun hat screaming her head off while all 4 family members walked alongside the horse caoxing her on.

My son may be a little show off...but at least he's not a wuss.

Hee hee.

IMG_4361

IMG_4303

---

IMG_4313

We're heading home a bit early...because I am a stress case and I have a million things to do.

Stupid huh?!?

I can't even sleep at night because of the lists running through my mind. I have a feeling this is going to be a jam packed summer.

-----

Modbe's to deliver, pictures to take, phone calls to return, Graduations to attend (my baby brother graduates from High School tomorrow night:) and a husband to smother.

---

(Jarom I know you miss me. Regardless of how you feel....you are not enjoying this freedom to watch ESPN, play softball and basketball games and drink mountain dew as much as you think you are. See you tomorrow:)

Me
